GSR Full Form in Law

The Full form of GSR in Law is General Statutory Rules. General Statutory Rules are some of those important guidelines that are formulated by law enforcement authorities to maintain proper safety, enforcement of strict regulations, and effective administration at different locations. These are the regulations that include a wide range of topics, but when we talk about commercial vehicles, particularly those operating in the European Union, we mean the General Safety Regulations. Furthermore, the General Statutory Rules rely on modern technologies to improve road safety. To assist the driver and ensure the safety of all road users, it is required to install new safety measures in commercial automobiles, for example, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

The Central Authorities (except from the Union Territory Administrations) and the various departments of the Government of India (apart from the Ministry of Defence) are responsible for issuing General Statutory Rules, which include Orders, Bye-laws, and other general-purpose regulations.
